Ouarzazate
1 nightsDay 2: Agadir - Taroudant - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate
Today, we will start our day by passing through stunning roads and landscapes. Firstly, we will make a stop in Taroudant, surrounded by the Atlas Mountains. Taroudant lies in the heart of a fertile valley and is famous for the saffron growing around the area. We continue our journey by admiring Berber villages until to reach the stunning Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Famous films have been shot on this spectacular stage, including the Gladiator, Jesus of Nazareth, Alexander, etc. After that, we will continue to Ouarzazate, also known as “The gate of the desert” where we will spend the night.
Merzouga
1 nightsDay 3: Ouarzazate - Todra Gorge - Merzouga
This 12 days tour from Agadir continues, as we drive this morning through the big Skoura palm grove, a beautiful place with more than 700.000 palms and numerous kasbahs that are built in the surrounding area. Afterward, we continue to the Rose Valley, where damascenes roses are raised for cosmetic use. The next site to visit is the Todra Gorges, where we will walk under the 300m high red cliffs. After a short walk in the gorges, we head to Erfoud and Rissani where you’ll have lunch before we continue to the village of Merzouga. On arrival, check-in at the accommodation, a beautiful hotel overlooking the Sahara desert dunes. Dinner and overnight.
Sahara Desert
1 nightsDay 4: Merzouga - Tour of the dunes - Nomad Family - Khamlia - Sahara Desert
After your breakfast, you will have a tour of the dunes on a 4×4 vehicle, allowing you to visit the black volcanic rocky desert, known for its fossils. Later, we will visit a nomad family living in a tent, and Khamlia village, famous for the spiritual music of Gnawa. Afterward, we will visit the lake Dayate Sarji, which forms in springtime and attracts pink flamingos and wildlife.
Then, you will have a break for lunch in Merzouga, and after that, you will see the canal irrigation system by having a walk in the oasis located at the foot of the dunes. Later, get ready for a camel trek to enjoy the sunset as you head to the desert camp. At the end of the day, you will have a delicious dinner and a spectacle of Saharan music before you take some rest in your bivouac. Dinner and overnight in a desert camp.
Fez
2 nightsDay 5: Sahara Desert - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fez
In the morning, we have a “Date with the sunrise”. Waking up early in the morning is a “must-do” to enjoy the most spectacular sunrise you´ve ever seen. After breakfast, we will start our trip to the north, through the Tafilalet palm grove, the biggest in the world. You´ll see thousands of palm trees along the 20km of road. This route leads us to the Ziz valley, where the river comes down from the high Atlas and feeds the palm grove.
Here we will make another stop to enjoy the magnificent view of the valley before we continue to Midelt, where you´ll have free time for lunch. Later on, we continue to the Cedar forest where, if we are lucky, we´ll see some monkeys in their natural habitat. The next place we´ll visit is the city of Ifrane which feels misplaced in Morocco. Ifrane is situated on the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters above the water level. Its broad avenues, its urban development with its perfect cleanness, the gardens, the green areas, and its architecture, make this city look like a Swiss town. Around 6 pm, we will arrive in Fez where the driver will drop you off at the hotel/riad.
Day 6 : Fez
After breakfast, we will start exploring with an official guide the Imperial city of Fez, the oldest in Morocco. We will ensure that you visit all the sites with cultural and historical interest, such as the famous Al Qaraouine University, the Chouara Tannery, the Attarine museum, the Royal Palace gate, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Nejjarine Museum. Later on, you will visit a tile cooperative and then, you will admire the panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fez. Free time during the afternoon.
Chefchaouen
1 nightsDay 7: Fez - Chefchaouen
This beautiful tour from Agadir continues, as today after breakfast, we will depart for Chefchaouen, “The Blue Pearl” of Morocco. A scenic drive will take us through the fertile agricultural land to the high. On the way, we will make a stop in the lake of N’zala for some photos and we will continue our way in the Rif Mountains. Arrive in Chefchaouen and check in to your accommodation. During the afternoon, you will have free time to stroll around the medina, famous for its vivid blue houses.
Rabat
1 nightsDay 8: Chefchaouen - Rabat
Today, we will begin our journey to the South heading to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. After
traversing a beautiful route of about 4 hours, we will arrive in Rabat, and before your transfer to the
hotel/riad, we will visit the magnificent Hassan Tower. In the same area, is the marble mausoleum of King Mohammed V, grandfather of the current king. In addition, we will visit the Kasbah Oudaya, a place that looks like a Greek island, since the white/blue color, the white alleys, and the island architecture make it different from the rest of the city. The view of the Atlantic Ocean from its highest points is impressive. Transfer to your accommodation and free time for the rest of the day.
Marrakech
2 nightsDay 9: Rabat - Casablanca - Marrakech
Today, after your breakfast we will drive to Casablanca via the highway. On arrival, we will visit the impressive Mosque of Hassan II, built-in 1993 by a team of over 6000 craftsmen. Located on the shores of the city of Casablanca, it is an imposing edifice and one of the few mosques in Morocco where non-Muslims are allowed to enter. After our visit there, we will continue to Marrakech, an approximately 4 hours drive journey. The driver will drop you off at the hotel/riad, and you will have free time during the afternoon.
Day 10: Marrakech
An official tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation today, to visit the medina and the historical sites of Marrakech. We will start admiring the great wall that borders the medina and the Koutoubia minaret before we continue our visit to the Saadine Tombs, the Bahia Palace, the Medersa Ben Youssef, the El Badii Palace, and lastly the beautiful Majorelle Gardens. Then, we will visit Jemaa El Fna Square, where the background is completely different at night. After the tour is over, the guide will drop you off back at your accommodation and free time during the afternoon.
Agadir
1 nightsDay 11: Marrakech - Agadir
After breakfast, we will take the way back to Agadir. On arrival, drop off at the hotel and free time for the rest of the day. During the afternoon, we suggest you visit the colorful Souk El Had market with around 6,000 stalls, or just relax on the golden sandy beach of Agadir.
