A Week of Contrasts

This morning you will have a private guided tour of Marrakech Medina with an official guide. Firstly, you will see the famous Mosque of Koutoubia, before you continue to the Medina with its colorful souks. In addition, we will explore some more of Marrakech’s secrets such as the Ali Ben Youssef Koranic School, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens. In the afternoon, the best option is to explore the medina, approaching the square that during the evening is full of narrators, jugglers, diviners, snake charmers, and musicians. Optionally, in the afternoon, the driver can transfer you to the Palmeraie of Marrakech to have a camel ride.

Today, if you prefer you will have a free day in Marrakech, otherwise, this morning after breakfast, we will depart for the seaside town of Essaouira on the Atlantic Coast. A relaxing 3-hour journey, lined with Argan oil trees, where we will make a stop to watch the goats climbing on Argan trees. Our journey continues with another stop at an Argan oil feminine cooperative, where you will have the opportunity to see the process.

Later we will reach Essaouira, a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage-listed city. Here, you will have enough time to explore all the sites of interest. The windswept fishing port, with broad beaches and ancient walled medina with ramparts built into the cliffs, has long been a popular destination. With its relaxed feel, take in the small but lively medina, stroll along the ramparts or beach, or visit the port to see the daily catch and have a great lunch with seafood in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech where the driver will drop you off at your hotel/riad.

Today, you will have a free day to explore Marrakech on your own. We recommend you to visit Gueliz, the modern part of the city, or just stroll around the medina and the souks. Otherwise, you can have a day trip to Ourika Valley where you will experience one of the best adventures.

We will depart from Marrakech at 09:30 and head towards the Ourika Valley. Travel through the spectacular landscapes of the valley, known for its many waterfalls and Berber settlements in the heart of the Atlas Mountains terrain. Visit a Berber family to learn more about everyday life and then enjoy a relaxing day in the scenic settlement of Setti Fatma (Sti Fadma). Visit the 7 waterfalls of the village, nestled at the southern end of the Ourika Valley. Get enchanting views of the natural surroundings and enjoy your lunch in a beautiful restaurant near the Ourika River. Return to Marrakech in the afternoon. Optional at night you can enjoy dinner and show in the famous Fantasia Show in restaurant Chez Ali.

This morning after breakfast, we will depart to Casablanca via highway. Approximately 3 hours later, we will reach Casablanca where you will check into your hotel. In the afternoon, you will have free time to explore Casablanca and walk along the Atlantic ocean in the neighborhood of La Corniche.

Our 7-Day Morocco Mini Tour is about to end, Your driver will pick you up from your hotel at 9:00 AM and then you will meet with your English-speaking guide on the spot to start your Casablanca City Tour. See all of the major sites in Casablanca on this half-day city tour. You will be able to admire the enchanting mixture of modern and traditional influences that shape the city while visiting the Central Market, the Habous District, the Royal Palace, the Aïn Diab Corniche, and lastly, the impressive Mosque of Hassan II, which was built in 1993 by a team of over 6000 craftsmen. Located on the shores of the city of Casablanca, it is an imposing edifice and one of the few mosques in Morocco that foreigners are allowed to enter. In the afternoon, you will have free time.

Today, the driver will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the airport of Casablanca in order to catch your departure flight, and this is the end of your 7-day Morocco mini tour.
