Overview

Embrace the Unexpected with the Morocco Week of Contrasts Itinerary

Morocco is famously a land where the ancient meets the modern, and snow-capped mountains give way to scorching deserts. If you only have seven days, our Morocco week of contrasts itinerary is perfectly crafted to highlight these dramatic shifts. This fast-paced, exciting journey ensures that every single day offers a completely different landscape and cultural experience.

From Urban Chaos to Alpine Serenity

Your journey begins in the chaotic, thrilling labyrinth of a major imperial city, typically Marrakech or Fes. You will navigate bustling souks, inhaling the scent of exotic spices and dodging donkey carts. However, the Morocco week of contrasts itinerary quickly shifts gears. Within a few hours, you will leave the urban heat behind and ascend into the cool, serene heights of the Atlas Mountains. You will pass through dense alpine cedar forests and quiet Berber villages that seem entirely disconnected from the modern world.

The Ultimate Desert Silence

The most profound contrast occurs as you cross the mountains and enter the arid pre-Sahara. The landscape flattens, palm oases appear, and you eventually reach the towering, golden dunes of Merzouga. Leaving your 4×4 behind, you will ride a camel into the deep desert. The absolute silence of the Sahara is a startling contrast to the noise of the medina you experienced just days prior. You can read more about this vast, silent ecosystem on Wikipedia. This Morocco week of contrasts itinerary is an unforgettable sensory rollercoaster.
